Youth & Female Entrepreneurship Subsidy Schemes CIIM Cyprus Events

Ο Δρ. Νίκος Σφυρής, Διευθυντής της SLOA LTD ήταν ο βασικός εισηγητής στην παρουσίαση του CIIM την Τρίτη 23/01 στην Λεμεσό και την Τετάρτη 24/01 στην Λευκωσία αναφορικά με τις ενισχύσεις για την Νεανική και Γυναικεία Επιχειρηματικότητα. Παρουσίασε ενδελεχώς τα δύο προγράμματα και δέχθηκε ερωτήσεις από το κοινό για τις επιμέρους λεπτομέρειες των προγραμμάτων.

Οι δύο εκδηλώσεις στέφθηκαν από μεγάλη επιτυχία με παρουσία πλέον των 150 ατόμων στις δύο παρουσίασεις ενώ θα επαναληφθεί για όλους τους σπουδαστές του CIIM στις 14/02 στην Λευκωσία. Schemes for the Enhancement of Youth and Women Entrepreneurship (20/12/17-19/03/18)

Summary

The aim of the Schemes are to develop, support and encourage entrepreneurship by young people and women that fall in the age range of 20 – 40 for the young people and 18-55 for the women, who wish to establish an enterprise in the manufacturing, service or tourism sector and e-commerce.

Call Description

Emphasis is given in the development of new technologies, in the use of innovative methods of production and promotion of products and services, in the development of environmental friendly products and generally in modern entrepreneurial practices aiming at the creation of a dynamic and competitive unit. Eligible candidates can be men and women who:

 

·         Reside legally in the Cypriot Democracy and their age range of 20 – 40 for the young people and of 18-55 for the women.

·         Are either unemployed, employed or freelance professionals at the date of submission of their proposal.

·         Had no any previous business activity in any sector for a period of six months before the date of submission of their proposal.

As beginning of enterprising activity is comprehended the self-employment or the attendances in company in percentage from 25%. In this case it will be participate in the capital of company up to 75% young men and women which will practice also the administration of this.

Under the program, the form of the aid consists of:

  • Grant from € 5,000 to € 70,000 per proposal for manufacturing sector,
  • Grant from € 5,000 to € 50,000 per proposal for tourism, services and e-commerce.

The completion of financed investment may not exceed twenty-four months from the date of acceptance of the relevant decision.

The expenditure categories covered by the program are:

          Equipment/Special Installations/Buildings/Configuration of Spaces

          Training

          Promotion and Publicity

          Consulting Expanses

          Initial Capital

 

 

Incentive Scheme for Investments in the Enrichment and Upgrading of the Tourism Product for the Tourist Season Lengthening

Cyprus Tourism Organization announces the final version of the Guide concerning the “Incentive Scheme for Investments in the Enrichment and Upgrading of the Tourism Product for the Tourist Season Lengthening”. The objective of the Plan is to encourage hotels to renovate buildings, equipment  software, hardware and consulting services, which support the development of Tourism Product and generate overnights for the hotel industry during the low
season months.

Proof of Concept for Technology / Knowhow Applications

The Research Promotion Foundation announces the Call for Proposals for the «Proof of Concept for Technology / Knowhow Applications» Programme within the framework of the «RESTART 2016-2020» Programmes for Research, Technological Development and Innovation and invites potential beneficiaries to submit relevant Project Proposals (Proposals). The present Call is part of the «Competitiveness and Sustainable Development 2014-2020» Operational Programme and is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund and the Republic of Cyprus.

The “Proof of Concept for Technology / Knowhow Applications” Programme aims at the preliminary investigation of possible industrial applications of a technology/knowhow.

All the proposals submitted by SLOA in the first call for the Enhancement of Youth Entrepreneurship 2015 have taking high rating and are financed by the Republic of Cyprus. The aim of the Scheme is to develop, support and encourage entrepreneurship by young people who, based on their knowledge expertise and talent, will establish a new enterprise. The scheme covers new enterprises of the manufacturing, service or tourism sector, and e-commerce. Emphasis is given in the development of new technologies, in the use of innovative methods of production and promotion of products and services, in the development of environmental friendly products and generally in modern entrepreneurial practices aiming at the creation of a dynamic and competitive unit. The scheme motivates successful applicants by offering them a grand, as a percentage (50%) on the approved budget. The maximum amount of grand is €70,000 for enterprises of the manufacturing sector, and €50,000 for all other activities.
